Whakatane Airport is an airport serving the town of Whakatane and surrounding tourist attractions (Mount Tarawera, White Island) in New Zealand. Air New Zealand Link formerly operated flights to Auckland, operated by Eagle Airways with Beech 1900D aircraft. In November 2014, Air New Zealand announced that it would cease operating the Auckland-Whakatane route from April 2015.〔("Air New Zealand announces outcome of review to deliver more sustainable regional air services" ), ''Air New Zealand Media Release'', 11 November 2014. Retrieved on 24 January 2015.〕 Following the announcement, numerous airlines including Sunair〔("Sunair looks at abandoned Air NZ routes, blames airports for high fares" ), ''National Business Review'', 17 November 2014. Retrieved on 24 January 2015.〕 expressed interest in continuing the route themselves. Air Chathams announced in January 2015 a twice-daily service to Auckland, starting at the end of April.〔("Air Chathams to offer daily flights from Whakatane" ), ''Whakatane News'', 22 January 2015. Retrieved on 24 January 2015.〕 In April 2015, Sunair also announced it would commence scheduled services from Whakatane to Hamilton, Gisborne and Napier,〔("Sunair brings new services to Whakatane Airport" ), ''Whakatane Beacon'', 29 April 2015. Retrieved on 26 November 2015.〕 although the Napier service was eventually cancelled.〔("Sunair bows out of Napier" ), ''3rd Level New Zealand'', 18 September 2015. Retrieved on 26 November 2015.〕 The airport also houses a flight school, agricultural aircraft and commercial helicopter operations. The "excitingly different" terminal building was designed by Roger Walker〔(''Home and Building'', vol 37, no. 6, 1975 )〕 and completed in 1974. ==Airlines and destinations== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Whakatane Airport」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
